Women’s History Month Feature
Women have always played a vital role in cultivating food, healing communities, and passing down wisdom rooted in the land. At the Greenway, we honor the women, past and present, who nurture gardens, families, and neighborhoods with strength, care, and resilience.
Gardens are spaces where many women find peace, restoration, and empowerment. Working with the soil can be deeply healing, offering a place to reflect, connect, and recharge. For many, gardening is also a way to reclaim ancestral knowledge and build healthier futures for the next generation.
This Women’s History Month, we celebrate the women in our community who lead with compassion, show up for others, and remind us that wellness begins with access to fresh food, safe outdoor spaces, and supportive community.
Reflection Prompt: As you spend time in the garden or a local park, ask yourself: What helps me feel grounded? What seeds am I planting for my own well-being?
Stop by our Greenway Volunteer Days this March and connect with our team as we give back to mothers by sharing flower seeds, a small gift to nurture beauty, wellness, and growth at home and in our community.
