Verde Partnership Garden update we’ve had challenging weeks (fewer and fewer students), but we continue with garden education Classes continue to observe the metamorphosis of monarch butterflies soon we will do a release with 6th grade. We have also been learning about the importance of mulching to help our soil temperature and biodiversity stay balanced (pictured our garlic being mulched with a blanket of a straw) younger grades are conducting a decomposition experiment where we observe an apple, a piece of paper, a flower and plastic in a soil-filled with microorganisms. We are guessing how much time each will take to break down. What do you think will decompose first?
