Cooking Demos and Floral Delights at the Farm Stand

April was a month of community and abundance for the farm stand crew. In addition to the usual stand, an opportunity to deepen connections with the community, the team hosted a cooking demonstration in collaboration with the Veggie Rx program, where they prepared mushroom tacos and highlighted how meatless meals can be both healthy and delicious (see video below).

Meanwhile, the garden continued to thrive. A colorful array of flowers, including marigolds, snapdragons, sunflowers, and delphiniums, are now in bloom. Among the growing produce are cucumbers, beans, watermelon, and squash, with hopes that jalapeños will be ready by May.

The weekly farm stand remains a community staple, beginning at 2 p.m. and running until the last customer is served. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own reusable bags.
