Join us for a hands-on herbal experience with Urban Tilth and FIERCE at the Richmond Greenway on April 11, 2026 from 10AM–1PM!
This immersive workshop will guide participants through harvesting, processing, and preparing herbal teas using fresh, garden-grown plants like lemon balm and mint. Together, we’ll explore refreshing cold-brew tea techniques and learn how to confidently turn the herbs we grow into everyday wellness practices.
What to expect:
• A guided plant meditation (“plant sit”) to slow down and build connection
• Mindful harvesting of seasonal herbs straight from the garden
• A live cold-brew herbal tea demonstration
• Hands-on blending and preparation from harvest to cup
• Exploration of creative herbal uses beyond just drinking tea
• Community connection in a welcoming, beginner-friendly space
What to bring:
• A reusable water bottle or jar (if you’d like to take tea home)
• Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
• Comfortable clothes for being outdoors
• An open heart and curiosity
We’ll also roll up our sleeves, clean our green spaces, connect with neighbors, and keep this space beautiful for everyone. Enjoy the fresh air, good people, and community power.
This event is free, all materials are provided, and all ages and experience levels are welcome. Whether you’re new to herbs or already growing your own, you’ll leave with practical skills, deeper plant knowledge, and a stronger connection to land and community.
Spots are limited RSVP soon!
