The Community Advisory Committee is an opportunity for staff, residents, and the local community to assist in making decisions at the North Richmond Farm.
At Urban Tilth, we are creating a community hub of health, nutrition, food access, and social and environmental justice.
As a community farm, we want to ensure you have an ownership stake in what goes on at the North Richmond Farm. So, we created this Community Advisory Committee!
The committee will assist in a variety of decisions concerning the farm.
As you may know, we are building out the farm in five phases. Based on your feedback, the farmland will include a community room, an amphitheater, a cafe, a farm store, and a commercial kitchen.
One of the phases includes a History Walk. So for example, the advisory committee will advise on the art that will be showcased on the walk and will assist in choosing the artists that contribute to this feature.

Here is a summary of the committee’s overall responsibilities.

North Richmond residents will receive compensation. We will meet monthly and are asking for a two-year commitment.
In the second year, Urban Tilth will choose two residents from the committee to serve on its 501c3 board.
