As we dive into the peak of spring, the farm is buzzing with activity! We are officially starting our succession of summer crops, planting favorites like cucumbers, squash, and tomatoes.
Exciting New Varieties This year, we’re thrilled to introduce some unique tomato and cucumber varieties to our fields. Keep an eye out for:
- Green Zebra and Nepal (Heirlooms)
- Sweetie Cherry Tomatoes
- Pink Berkeley Tie Dye
We are also sticking with the tried-and-true staples that love our Richmond soil, including lemon, Marketmore, and Muncher cucumbers, alongside Dunja green squash and Mexican grey squash.

Did you know we live in USDA Hardiness Zone 10a? This warm, subtropical climate means our winters are mild and our growing season never truly stops. While we prepare for summer by planting heat-tolerant Georgia Collards, we are still harvesting nutrient-rich greens like kale, swiss chard, and Mustard that thrive in our coastal air.
