Springtime at the Verde Partnership Garden

At Verde Partnership Garden, the spring has introduced new flavors, fresh energy, and plenty of creative exploration as the garden comes to life. Students and volunteers have been expanding their taste palettes with seasonal greens like rainbow chard, crisp lettuce, and hearty kale, all grown right in their own backyard.

Participants have been cooking together, enjoying the fruits and greens of their labor, and even blending up fresh fruit smoothies using a little muscle power and a lot of enthusiasm.

With longer days and warmer weather, the season also provides more time for artistic expression, seasonal garden maintenance, animal discovery, and early preparations for the next season. Whether it’s spotting a new critter or painting in the sunshine, the garden continues to be a vibrant, living classroom.

As the garden grows, so does the community around it.
