From Our Stands to Your Hands: How Farm Stands Are Cultivating Change

The Farm Stand team has been making a remarkable difference in local communities, offering more than just fresh produce—they’re planting seeds of change in the lives of those they serve. The team recently shared a heartfelt testimonial from a farm stand participant, a reminder of the deep and lasting impact these stands have.

The testimonial reflects the joy and transformation experienced by community members who engage with the program. Participants are not only experimenting more in their kitchens but also taking steps toward food sovereignty by building home gardens with the plants distributed at the stands.

“It’s been incredibly rewarding to witness the impact of the farm stands on our community,” the team shared. “Seeing new gardeners grow food at home and hearing how families are trying new recipes with our produce brings us so much joy.”

The team encourages all farm stand participants to share their stories. Whether it’s a short testimonial or a quick video clip, these personal reflections help inspire others and strengthen community bonds. Submissions can be sent to Tania at taniaj@urbantilth.org.

Community members are also reminded to stop by one of the weekly farm stands, operating Tuesday through Friday from 2:00 PM until all produce is gone. The stands operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable bags.
