The North Richmond Farm Community Advisory Committee (CAC) has convened! We have a great group of residents who will come together monthly to advise us on various aspects of the farm.
As you know, the farm is at the beginning of a multi-phase construction project. We are currently in Phase 2, which includes the Watershed workshop, the greenhouse, the nursery, and the compost toilet.
In our last meeting, the CAC gave ideas on the style of four Phase 2 art installations near the Watershed workshop — a watershed relief map, vertical creek art, the Wall of Champions, and a mural that will face Fred Jackson Way.
We will include their feedback in creating the Requests for Proposals for the artists. Of course, they will also advise on the criteria for artists who will submit proposals.
Next, the committee will advise on names that should go on the Wall of Champions.
In this phase, the Wall of Champions will include our elders who worked in the creek/watershed space.
