New Native Plant Showcase Garden at UNITY PARK PLAZA!

Wow! From start to finish look at how beautiful the Native Plant Showcase Garden turned out! (area of site : 1000 ft^2) we had the pleasure of hosting a volunteer event with students and teachers from Maybeck High school in Berkeley! From weeding, shoveling mulch, planting, watering, laying rocks, they did it all!

Super grateful for the love that went into this site and the outcome! Students got to plant red flowering currant (deciduous shrub) , sticky monkey flower (medicinal) and western columbine (flowers are edible and leaves, seeds, and roots are very toxic and should not be eaten all native plants that support our pollinators (bees, hummingbirds, butterflies).
