The Just Transition program has been hosting informational discussions with groups of Richmond parents throughout September, leading up to California’s Clean Air Day on October 1. These sessions create opportunities for parents to learn about how local air quality affects public health, particularly for those with respiratory illnesses.
Participants hear recommendations from experts and explore practical steps to improve indoor air quality, such as investing in HEPA air filters or taking home one of the program’s provided indoor plants.
Thank you to our guest speakers from UCSF, BAAQMD, and RichCityRays, who helped to provide more context around Richmond’s historically poor air quality.
