Orchard for all update! We are now on our Third week and we are now, and our topic for this week is TREE CARE 101! Started off the week in our lovely Greenway community garden. We talked about how to care for specific trees and essential steps to take to Identify the 4 D’s disease, Disoriented, Damaged, Dead. Our apprentice’s next step is putting these new skills to use and go out and glean from our community members.
Activities are done throughout the week: planted multiple trees in Richmond high school, pruned and took care of trees on Greenway edible forest, and also helped with gardening for our educational crew for the summer.
