An amazing four days and three nights of camping are In the books For Urban Tilth’s Summer Youth Apprenticeship Program!
This year we travelled to Jug Handle State Natural Reserve to explore California’s beautiful coastal ecology! We observed tide pools, toured nearby Fortune Farm, Learned about invasive species control using goats and sheep, Went on hikes, cooked lots of delicious food, and even lent a hand to the native plant nursery and landscape on-site at Jug Handle!
Most importantly we spent time connecting with each other, and our beautiful planet underneath the stars.
**Special thanks to Bay Area Wilderness Training, City of Richmond, Mighty Arrow, Hellman Family Foundation, San Francisco Foundation, Gamble Foundation, Patagonia, and Solidaire for helping us make this program a reality!
