VPG Garden Update on Herb Education, Middle School Contributions, and Nature’s Surprises

VPG update!

Weather has been cold but we are still spending time in the garden as much as possible. Students have been learning about herbs in the garden and their different medicinal uses. Lots of students were excited to take home herbs they can share with family members and loved ones!

Middle school students have also been supportive with garden maintenance, such as: weeding, prepping garden beds, and transplanting seedlings inside the greenhouse. Rainy weather has given students the opportunity of finding incredible varieties of fruiting mushrooms. They are learning where these mushrooms come from and the amazing mycorrhizal network plants use underground.

Verde stars continue to impress us with their fast learning and curiosity
