July has been a great month at the Richmond High garden ! We ended our summer course with the students and for the last week they painted some raised beds, cooked a meal with produce from the garden & made herbal salves with beeswax straight from the Richmond bees The flowers have been blooming and constantly having us in AWE we always know what’s coming but when it comes we’re still very amazed and super grateful for the beauty & boost of serotonin these flowers have given us this summer & a big thank you to Rebecca from @richmondgrows for coming out and teaching us how to hand pollinate our squash so we can collect some seeds !! There is a seed bank at the Richmond Library for those who want some seeds only thing you gotta do is save your seeds and bring some back when the time comes Benefits of collecting seeds:-Save Money-Resilient Seeds-Build relationship with the plant
-YOU CAN GIFT TO FRIENDS AND THE COMMUNITY
