Learning About Food Traditions at Verde!

Verde K-8 update !This week we continued learning about food traditions. We learned about the Ohlone people and how they continue to protect and tend to this land we are on. We gathered acorns from the coast live oak. We love to see how these rains have brought a sea of worms! In many classrooms students are observing gulf fritillary, monarchs’ life cycle, and have also created habitats for rolly-polies. Youth are also learning and observing fava beans and how they grow.
