Richmond Highs Urban Agriculture Update!
Happy Spring
We seeded wildflower seeds with the students and started replacing and upgrading old beds. Students have also been slowly pulling out winter crops and replacing them with spring crops, like flowers, greens, berries, & roots.
I’m the greenhouse we started our early jalapeńos, flower bulbs, celery, tomatoes, & more greens!
In the classroom, students have been learning about the different human foodways starting all the way back since the Paleolithic era. Then we started talking about the 3 agricultural revolutions.
Soon we will be talking about how some agriculture systems have been harmful to our environment! Stay tuned for more updates from our team.
