Sagittarius season encourages us to welcome new challenges with eagerness and confidence as we reflect on our collective strength and joy this year! Here’s a roundup of some of the good vibes that continue to keep us warm and inspired as we move into the colder months!
Gratitude Walk
This year’s Gratitude Walk was a shining example of community spirit in action. With many of our neighbors coming out to walk, bike, and enjoy the beautiful Greenway path, it was a heartwarming reminder of how much we can accomplish together. Whether you joined us for a leisurely stroll or a bike ride, we are truly grateful for everyone who participated and made this event such a success.
A Bountiful Farmstand Despite the Weather
Even in the face of heavy rains, our free farmstand at Unity Park has remained a vital resource for the community. We’ve been able to offer fresh, local produce to anyone in need, thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers and farmers. If you haven’t had the chance to stop by yet, don’t worry. There are two more farmstand dates before we close for the season. Join us today at 2 PM, and next Wednesday, 10/18, at 2 PM for one last chance to pick up some healthy, seasonal produce.
Volunteering Through the Seasons
This year, we had the pleasure of working with some amazing volunteer groups, including VistAbility at Unity Park and YouthBuild at the farm. Winter weather can be a tough challenge, but these dedicated volunteers have shown us the power of community and how much can be accomplished when we come together. From planting to park clean-ups, these volunteers have embodied the spirit of service and made a lasting impact on our spaces. We are grateful for their hard work and commitment.
Looking Ahead: MLK Day of Service
As we look forward to the year ahead, there are plenty of opportunities to stay involved with the Greenway. One key event to mark on your calendar is the MLK Day of Service on January 20th, from 9 AM to 1 PM. This event will honor the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through hands-on community service. It’s a chance to give back, make new connections, and continue Dr. King’s work of activism and justice. We hope you’ll join us in honoring his legacy and continuing the work of building a stronger, more connected community.

Wrapping Up a Year of Gratitude and Giving Back
As we reflect on all that we’ve achieved together this year, we are filled with gratitude for every person who has contributed to our community’s growth and success. From our Gratitude Walk to our farmstand and volunteer events, each step forward has been fueled by a shared commitment to strengthening our connections and making a positive impact. We look ahead with confidence, eager to take on whatever challenges come our way, knowing that our collective strength will carry us through.
Let’s continue to bring the good vibes into the next season, and remember, together, we can accomplish great things!
