Year in Review: Richmond High’s Urban Agriculture Academy

As we look back on an incredible year at Richmond High’s Urban Agriculture Academy, we’re filled with pride and gratitude for everything we’ve accomplished. This year has been a testament to the hard work, dedication, and collaboration that make our program so special. Here’s a look at some of our key milestones:

  • 160 students taught: We had the privilege of sharing knowledge and hands-on experience with 160 passionate students, fostering their growth in urban agriculture and sustainable farming practices.
  • 14 student-run free farm stands: Our students took the lead in organizing and running 14 farm stands, giving back to the community by offering fresh, local produce to those in need.
  • Nearly 1,000 pounds of food produced: Through the hard work and dedication of our students, we grew almost 1,000 pounds of food, contributing to food security and nourishing our community.

None of this would have been possible without the amazing support of our team, students, and community partners. A big congratulations to everyone involved for their unwavering commitment and dedication. Together, we’ve made a meaningful impact, and we can’t wait to continue this important work in the year ahead!

Here’s to more growth, more learning, and more service to our community in 2025!
