Verde partnership garden update We have been learning about soil biodiversity, and seed biodiversity. We spend time learning about seeds, what they need to grow and where they come from. Ms. Meza showed us an 11-year-old fava bean pod that is a mix between purple and green, a unique gem! We also learn about the many creatures that live in the soil, the role they have and the ways they have adapted to carry out their important role in life the soil we need diverse life forms in our soil. This week we learned more about fungi and the way they exchange and communicate with plants. We were able to spot some mushrooms popping out in the garden and we said hello! At the end of every session in the garden we have a snack, this week we tried pineapple guavas and we loved their fragrant taste and smell.
