Our Watershed Restoration team would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the folks at Greywater Action and the Ecology Center for leading an amazing 5-day Greywater Design certification course for members of our staff this past week! We learned how to safely and effectively install greywater systems- which take lightly used water from laundry machines and use it to water trees and shrubs in your yard! Properly designing and installing these systems requires a unique blend of expertise in plumbing, landscaping, and careful stewardship of our precious water resources. Over the next 4 years, Urban Tilth will install 100+ of these systems for free for Richmond homeowners (more info in comments below)!
