The Rudy Lozito Urban Farming Fellowship program proudly celebrated the graduation of its latest cohort on Friday, October 25th, 2024, at the North Richmond Farm.
Over the past six months, four fellows dedicated themselves to learning sustainable and regenerative farming practices, gaining hands-on experience in organic crop production, soil health, and animal husbandry. Through workshops, field trips, and community-building activities, they deepened their agricultural skills and community connections.
It was a deeply moving graduation as the fellows shared their most meaningful memories and celebrated the legacy of Rudy Lozito, a former staff member and farm manager who touched the lives of many. This year’s fellows embody the legacy of Rudy, each prepared to bring sustainable change and resilience to the community. They share the passion and desire for cultivating change in themselves and their community through the land. We’re excited to see how they take what they’ve learned to uplift and make waves in their communities.
Completing this program is a major accomplishment, congratulations to our 2024 graduates!
