Richmond High School Urban Agriculture academy update After their break students got back to their regular schedule! Harvesting for farmstand and continuing indoor lessons, like environmental injustices in Richmond. We had a heavy topic on the air pollution, the lack of healthy food access, & gentrification going on in our community. Students knew a lot & kept the conversations rolling! We gave them solutions to these injustices and told them how much power the youth have! In a community like ours, many times our youth aren’t heard by the “leaders” and it’s really important to keep funding programs that empower and hire youth. We must uplift them and remind them that they have so much power to change the world they are living in! The semester is coming to an end and we’re really proud of how much work they’ve put into their garden beds and classwork
