Tending Together: Land Stewardship Days at the North Richmond U-Pick Area
Join the North Richmond Education Team every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM for Tending Together, a community stewardship day at the North Richmond Farm’s U-Pick Area.
“Tending Together” is created to help launch and sustain this new community resource (U-Pick area) by welcoming folks into the space, sharing harvesting guidelines, building gardening skills, and collectively caring for the land.
These gatherings invite community members of all ages to get their hands in the soil, learn practical gardening skills, and help steward this shared growing space. Activities may include planting, weeding, mulching, harvesting, seed saving, seasonal garden care, infrastructure projects, and more.
Through this program, we hope to cultivate a culture of stewardship, shared responsibility, and community care while empowering participants to deepen their connection to food, land, and one another.
No experience is necessary. Just bring comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, a hat is also reccommended, water, and a willingness to learn and grow together.
